Hitting the Sale's

Let the sale shopping begin. After banging out a wardrobe workout for a special client. We then hit the shops to indulge ourselves with a few bargains. We only managed to get the basic items on our shopping list; however we will be gracing Westfield’s with our presence tomorrow. There’s nothing better than helping people see how fabulous they can look. I do hope you are enjoying the festivities xxx

What Christmas means to me….

After tearing through the presents this morning with my bambino. We then ate a traditional Jamaican breakfast. Put on our clothes and head to Church. You see as much as the majority of people see Christmas as a gift giving & receiving opportunity. There are still many of us who see it as a festival of reflection and giving of thanks to our Father Lord God. So this Christmas lets be kind to our loved ones and thankful for all we have been blessed with.  Eat, drink and be merry!  2012 here we come x

A casual Christmas Eve

Still can’t believe we are here already! It’s Christmas Eve! My bambino is soooo excited. She can’t wait to open her presents. Bless her. Today I still had a few errands to run e.g.  Delivering cards and Christmas presents to the rest of the rugrats.  So this is my casual Christmas Eve look. Nothing special but it totally works. Best described as, comfortable and practical to deliver the season’s greetings to my loved ones. Well doll’s eat drink and be Merry xxx

Style Icon: Gwen Stefani

A trapeze act between a sultry Marilyn Monroe and the bad girl gone good, Madonna.  Gwen Stefani is truly a fashion chameleon. Her personal style consists of masculine notes of Androgyny. Subtle kisses of romance, with iridescent   fabrics that graze the bodily contours. Her own collection LAMB that has proudly paraded the textiles of the mother land.  A splash of punk chic.  Yet, always holding on to that bleached blond wave in her hair. She has no barriers and cuts no corners. Simply put style is her flare.
A true STYLE ICON.

Just another day at the office

Hey people. Wow can you believe 2011 is nearly over! It’s getting really cold now as we draw deeper into winter. So I decided to do a quick entry of me dressed down for work. Literally just rolled out of bed . I was also having a bad hair day…lol. Disguising a bad hair day with an elaborately tied scarf always works well for me. The day went well…no drama, so I can't complain.

Oh by the way, you may not see many Ankara creation entries until it warms up again, so for now my entries will mostly be about my personal A/W style. Anyway I hope you are all cool…Not long till Christmas. Thank you for reading x

Ohhh la la! Autumn/Winter trends (2011)

Chanel A/W 2011

Here are a few snippets from two of my favourite contemporary designers for Autumn/Winter. Key materials this season are Leathers, Velvets, Tweeds, Lace, Wool and Sheerling . Sheer fabrics that can be layered. Opulent colours of Emerald Green’s, Topaz blues and other brilliant hues of semi precious stone. The lusciousness of Silk’s and Taffeta’s. Heavy embellishments, dull or glittering like the armour of some rare and forgotten sea creature.  Gosh I love fashion x

Inspirational Ankara Autumnal Hues

Hey beautiful people…It’s been a long time. I have missed this space. I know this may be a little late but, better late than never. Well I thought I would start by doing an entry on some inspirational Ankara designs in the key colours for Autumn/Winter. So statement colours that are trending this season are earth tones and opulent colours of semi-precious stones for example ruby red, emerald green, canary yellow and sapphire blue etc. Here are some examples of these statement colours in some lovely wax print fabrics.

Little red riding hood

Hey fellow readers……how are you all? I hope you enjoyed my last blog entry.  It was definitely a pleasure to wear. Well today is the birthday of a very dear friend of mine. To celebrate her earth day she having a BBQ (I hope the weather holds up. For today’s look I wanted to look kitch but cute……Kind of a modern day little red riding hood look. So I teamed a navy blue tea dress with some red ballerina pumps and a red cardigan. I went for vintage gold accessories with a navy bag and belt. I hope you enjoy the look. Please feel free to leave your comments. I will let you know how the BBQ went. Oh and I’m supposed to be going to TOGETHER today so if I do go I might have another outfit to post. Thanks again for reading oxoxox.
