Busaba Eathai thumbs down…..

Last night we went out to celebrate one of my co-d’s birthdays, the one and only NikNak. I love this chick to bits. Well, we started our night at a restaurant  on Kings Road called Busaba Eathai. I won’t comment on this establishment too much, however I will say it was far from acceptable. However, I did enjoy my time there as I was with some wonderful friends and family, to celebrate my home girls earth day.  We then crossed the river to Brixton Village to indulge in some of the finest cocktails south of the river…..Satay Bar. We finished the night enjoying some 80’s Throw Back at Club Babalou. All I can say is I had some good grown up fun.

Business as usual….

Fridays are always a good day. Not only because it’s my day off, but also because my co-d and I usually find something lucrative, fun and interesting to get into. Today Tora, Adrian and I visited a not for profit organization that assists people in setting up their own business. Since my friend and I are both budding young entrepreneurs, our friend Adrian (founder of Humble Minds) thought it would be worth our time to visit the organization. Its called Head 4 Business. They are a fantastic organization for people who are setting up or need help with a business idea. We also met some really creative young men that write an up and coming magazine. All in all some good, motivational peoples. Have a fab weekend darlings x

Faux fur and winter floral's

Caught up with a very good friend of mine today. She lives in a lovely part of town, with lots of little coffee shops and boutiques. So we went out for a spot of hot chocolate, cake and a catch up. We then went back to hers and made dinner and just chilled. There’s always something warming about being with old friends……

Dog-tooth conundrum

Love love love love love this Dog-tooth bodycon dress. It was as cheap as a Chinese takeaway on a Friday evening but it dresses up rather well. Goes to show that it’s not how much you spend but how you wear it.  Heading out with the girlies this evening so I thought I would squeeze this entry in…..Enjoy x

Heading out with the chica’s tonight, so I thought I would squeeze in this entry real quick. We are going for some cocktails and then to a house rave (yay). I’m still in the party mood from crimbo. It’s always good to get out and shake a leg. Anyway I hope you enjoy today’s look x

A house affair ……….a while back

I was going through my blog file, when I came across these pics of me and my co-d Chun. We were on a night out at one of our beloved house raves.  House music to me is the best kind of drug…….its non hallucinogenic , doesn’t leave you with a hangover  unless mixed with alcohol and  is completely addictive without the withdrawal symptoms. (No I’m not a recovering drug addict, just got carried away with my whack metaphor) Anyway we had one of the sweetest kinds of nights. Another night like this is well overdue. Excuse the pics they were taken on the lowly iPhone.

Afternoon tea to start 2012

Afternoon tea at Le Meridien Piccadilly, with mother and the bambino. By the end of our sitting, I was completely stuffed.  My bambino thoroughly enjoyed her ice cream and colouring book. After tea, we did a spot of sale shopping. A lovely way to start 2012, enjoying some sweet treats with my two favourite people.

Burberry Prorsum

I know I’m a little late with this one…… but I have to show my appreciation to Burberry Prorsum. Currently they are featuring statement garments in their collection, which have clear undertones of African Wax Print textiles. Basically, I love it. Every piece is simple, yet stunning in its own individual way. The tailoring is immaculate and the attention to detail is a divine. The fabrics vary from silk, to crepe but what stands out is the vibrancy and dominance of the Wax Print like patterns. Beautiful statement pieces that would add a touch of colour and style to any woman’s wardrobe. Happy new year by the way x
