Spring /Summer 12 Trends: Paisley!!

Right, so I know you all must watch some form of TV or be susceptible to the numerous advertising campaigns that many fashion retail giants have been hammering our senses with! Literally it’s all over the place. One of the key trends this session is Paisley print. Key fashion houses have gone crazy for Paisley. Personally I love the Paisley trend…. I always have. There is something bohemian about it. I will definitely be raiding my wardrobe, as I have plenty of Paisley past purchases. Have a look at how designers have translated Paisley on this session’s catwalk.

Bag Porn: Chanel

Ok, so I guess it is evident that I have been doing my homework on what Chanel has to offer. Well I’m now on to my favorite accessory- BAGS! Bellow are a few pieces from the Spring Summer12 and recent Cruise collection, which particularly stand out for me. I really need one of these bags in my life….

(I am especially in love with this lil beauty)

Collections: Chanel SS12

Just a few pieces from the Chanel Spring/Summer collection 2012, which I am lusting over and openly, yearn to own! Overall Lagerfeld still conceptualizes the traditional cuts and silhouettes established by our beloved Coco. The difference is he does it with a contemporary twist. I’m in love with the use of different textures; the transitions between flowing fabrics, knits and light tweeds are impeccable. We can also see the key trends this season of pale pastels, white on white and the timeless black. (Please excuse my dodgy pics, Im still getting used to my new mac) Thanx for reading Dolls x

Style Icon: Diana Ross

With over 40 years in the music industry. This lady has been among the most inspirational fashionista’s and also a beautiful song bird. Her style is a force to be reckoned with. Comprising of all the glitz and glam of Motown and of course Hollywood, this woman has always had remarkable style. Take inspiration from the beautiful Diana Ross and be fabulous.

Tribal prints and Shuka Zulu

The girls and I finally made it to the long anticipated Shuka Zulu in Camden town. We had planned this evening out weeks ago and where all very excited. Ok, all I will say is I was happy to be out with the girls. However in terms of Shuka Zulu it was a big fat fail. Nonetheless, it was great to be out and about, and really it is the company that makes the night not the venue. In terms of my look, I thought this tribal print skirt would be perfect for the night out. Thanks for reading dolls  x

In living color

Ok so last night one of my oldest homies Monique suggested we go for dinner. It was a spare of the moment arrangement, but I had a sitter so freedom was mine! (Yay) We ate at a cute little restaurant on Chelsea Harbor, called Thai on the River. It was really good. The cocktails went straight to my head (light weight). Anyway, we managed to catch up on all the significant life events we had both been through since the last time we saw each other. It was some good catching up, and we laughed nice and hard.  Ohhhh the jumper I’m wearing is my latest edition to my ever-growing wardrobe. I have a thing for vintage knits….I cant get enough of them.  It was found in one of my favorite secondhand stores, located south of the river. Thanks for reading dolls x
